Smokey Bourbon Apple Cider

This cozy winter cocktail is certain to warm you up by the fire! It’s full of bourbon, smokey cinnamon, and it’s refreshingly crisp and slightly sweet. Enjoy with a friend or two!

Smokey Bourbon Apple Cider Recipe
1/2 cup apple cider
2 oz bourbon (I used Redemption)
3 dashes orange bitters
1 tablespoon cinnamon simple syrup (see below)
Apple slices & cinnamon sticks for garnish

Cinnamon Simple Syrup
(makes 8 drinks)
1/4 cup agave
1/4 cup water
2 cinnamon sticks

Step 1
Prepare the cinnamon simple syrup by bringing agave, water and cinnamon sticks to a simmer in a sauce pan. Once simmering, turn off and let cool to room temperature.

Step 2
Fill a shaker with ice. Add apple cider, bourbon, orange bitters and simple syrup. Shake well and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.

Step 3
Run a lighter or a match under the cinnamon stick to burn it and garnish with the burnt cinnamon stick and fresh apple slices.
