Buttery Dinner Rolls Recipe
For this recipe you will need a stand mixer and 9×13 inch baking pan.

Ingredients
1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
¼ cup warm water (110°-115°F)
½ teaspoon sugar
4 cups all purpose flour
⅓ cup sugar
1½ teaspoons kosher salt
10 tablespoons butter, divided and melted
2 eggs
1 cup whole milk, warm (110°F)
1 teaspoon honey

Step 1:
Whisk together yeast, warm water, and sugar in the bowl of your stand mixer. Let it sit for 15 minutes while the yeast doubles in size.

Step 2:
Add 2 cups of all-purpose flour, sugar and salt to the stand mixer. Whisk until ingredients are well mixed.

Step 3:
Add in 4 tbsps of melted butter, 1 egg, and warm milk. Change the whisk attachment to a knead hook. Knead on low, slowly adding the remaining 2 cups of flour. Once a dough forms, knead for 5 minutes on the second speed setting. The dough should be tacky and pull away from the sides of the bowl. If the dough is still sticky, add in all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough is no longer sticky.

Step 4:
1st rise. Lightly grease a mixing bowl. Transfer dough and cover with a kitchen towel. Store in a warm place for 1½-2 hours, or until dough has doubled in size.

Step 5:
Once double in size, remove kitchen towel and punch down the dough to release air. Move the dough onto a lightly floured countertop and knead dough for two minutes.

Step 6:
Divide dough into 15 equal pieces. Knead and shape each piece into a smooth ball. Grease a 13×9 baking pan by adding 4 tbsps of melted butter. Within the baking dish, place the 15 dough balls in 3 rows of 5.

Step 7:
2nd rise. Cover rolls with a kitchen towel and store in a warm place for 1 hour or until the dough balls have doubled in size.

Step 8:
Preheat oven to 375°F.  In a small bowl, make egg wash by mixing together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon water. Using a pastry brush, lightly brush egg wash onto the tops of rolls. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven. Mix together 2 tablespoons of melted butter and honey. Brush honey butter onto rolls and sprinkle a little of kosher salt.
