Cannoli Dip

This dessert is perfect for a dinner party and is sure to please a crowd. It captures all the delicious flavors and creamy filling of a chocolate chip cannoli, but it’s way easier to pull together—no piping needed! Customize this dip anyway you like-I like to serve it with a variety of dipping options, such as waffle cookies, pizzelle cookies, broken waffle cones, graham crackers, strawberries, or chocolate-covered pretzels.

Ingredients:

16 ounces ricotta cheese

8 ounces mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese)

1/2 cup powdered sugar sifted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

For serving:

Waffle cookies, I LOVE these from Trader Joe’s but you can substitute with pizzelle cookies, broken waffle cones, or gram crackers

Strawberries

Chocolate covered pretzels

Directions:

Step 1:

Whisk together ricotta cheese and mascarpone cheese (or cream cheese) until blended and fluffy. Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla.

Step 2:

Gently mix in chocolate chips until they’re evenly distributed. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes but it’s best after 1 hour.

Step 3:

Serve with cookies, fruit and dippers of choice. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
