There is nothing better than fresh bread and this Roasted Garlic and Chive Butter recipe. I promise you! This pairs perfectly with my French Bread recipe.






Roasted Garlic and Chive Butter Recipe
Ingredients:
1 head of garlic
3 tablespoons chopped chives
1 stick of butter, softened
Sea salt
Drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut the top off a head of garlic. Place garlic into a small oven safe ceramic dish with lid. Drizzle the top of the garlic with EVOO and sprinkle with salt. Cover and roast for 1 hour. Remove from oven and let cool.
Step 2:
Using your hands or a pair of tongs, grip the head of garlic by the bottom. Press down, smooshing the garlic bulbs out of the skin and into a small bowl. Discard skin. Add chopped chives and softened butter and stir to combine.
Step 3:
Transfer to butter to parchment paper and shape butter into a a 5 or 6 inch log. Roll parchment paper and twist both ends. Please in the fridge for 30-45 minutes to firm up before slicing and serving with warm bread.
